Traditional music promoters Soundhouse return for their autumn season of eclectic Monday night performances in the intimate atmosphere of Edinburgh’s Traverse bar. Coming up: Performing traditional, contemporary and self-penned material, singer Hannah Rarity (25th Sept) is a BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year winner, with both her albums shortlisted for Album of the Year at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. Savourna Stevenson and Steve Kettley (2nd Oct) combine elements of classical, folk, world and jazz with haunting melodies, pulsating rhythms and stirring improvisations on harp and guitar. Noovision is led by Glasgow trombonist Anoushka Nanguy (known as Noushy, pictured), whose compositions draw on elements of jazz, hip-hop and Latin music (9th Oct).
