An enduring fixture in Edinburgh’s entertainment scene for decades, the Christmas-Hogmanay pantomime returns with a reliably spectacular family panto, Cinderella. The same team of favourites – Allan Stewart, Grant Stott and Jordan Young are returning to the Festival Theatre (while the production’s erstwhile stable, The King’s Theatre, undergoes renovation) with a laughter-packed traditional pantomime with all the ingredients in place that Edinburgh audiences have come to expect over many years. As ever, the production features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses, in Cinders’ famous rags-to-riches story, as she outwits her very wicked sisters and meets her Prince Charming.
