Proving the enduring appeal of whodunnits, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is the world’s longest-running play, having opened in 1952 in London’s West End, and by November 2022 had clocked up almost 30,000 performances. As news spreads of a murder in London, seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a stately country guesthouse, where they discover that a murderer is in their midst. Which one of them is it and who will be their next victim? Todd Carty and Gwyneth Strong star, until 6th May. Dates given are for The Playhouse Edinburgh but the production tours Scotland and the UK through the year.
