Based on Baz Luhrmann’s award-winning worldwide film phenomenon, Strictly Ballroom: The Musical is touring the UK, with appearances in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Starring tv dance show Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kevin Clifton and Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes, the show is directed by Strictly dance judge Craig Revel Horwood, and choreographed by the same show’s Jason Gilkison, and features smash-hit songs such as Love is in the Air and Time After Time, in addition to new music written specially for the show.

Luhrmann’s story tells of Scott Hastings, a talented, arrogant and rebellious young ballroom dancer: when his radical dance moves see him fall out of favour with the Australian Federation, he finds himself dancing with Fran, who although a complete beginner, introduces him to the colour and passion of her Spanish dance heritage. They gather the courage to defy both pompous convention and their uncomprehending families and friends, to discover love in their own world of dance…
