St Margaret’s performance, arts and heritage centre in Braemar is a unique venue that has breathed new life into a beautiful historic building over the past decade, delivering an exciting and varied programme of events throughout the year, including concerts, exhibitions, talks, tours, farmers’ markets and workshops.
The Earthtones Trio, known for blending elements of classical, jazz, folk and Scottish hymnal traditions, will be playing original material by pianist Euan Stevenson. In addition to Stevenson’s accessible and melodic pieces will be unique arrangements of festive music as well as light-hearted solo and duo interpretations of well-known classical and jazz themes by composers such as Bach, Satie, Debussy, Ellington, Gershwin, Mozart and Liszt.
Alongside composer/arranger Euan Stevenson on piano, the Trio features two internationally-acclaimed Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) principal members: flautist Katherine Bryan (named one of the top six flute players in the world by the BBC) and cellist Betsy Taylor.
