Three productions at Edinburgh’s Royal Lyceum Theatre are playing this August as part of the city’s Fringe Festival.

Written and performed by Obehi Janice, Nova follows a Nigerian-American comedian through a series of Casanova-like romantic and sexual entanglements (4th – 27th Aug).

In An Oak Tree a man, played by Tim Crouch, loses his daughter in a car accident. The man who was driving the car is a stage hypnotist. Since the accident he has lost the power of suggestion and his act is a disaster. The two men meet when the father volunteers for the hypnotist’s act (4th – 27th Aug). 

Written and performed by Seamas Carey in his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut, Help! I Think I’m a Nationalist is a timely comedy about second homes, xenophobia and bagpipes (8th – 27th Aug), with a direct connection from Cornwall to Scotland.
