Two thrilling works by two exciting dance-makers kick off Scottish Ballet’s autumn programme.

Renowned dancer in the hip-hop dance community, Dickson Mbi (UK) is an Olivier Award-winning choreographer whose collaborators include Robbie Williams and the Black Eyed Peas. His new work, Twice-Born, is his first commission for Scottish Ballet.

Schachmatt (Checkmate) by Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto is a quirky equestrian-themed ballet in which dancers move across a giant chessboard. Soto has been commissioned by companies worldwide, including Nederland Dans Theater, Stuttgart Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Spain’s Compania Nacional de Danza and Czech National Ballet.
