The White Fox Gallery in Coldstream’s new exhibition is Embracing Form, a solo show running for five weeks featuring the work of wood designer Tom Cooper, who has enjoyed a long association with the Gallery and is acknowledges as one of the finest cabinet makers in Scotland, having produced work for the Royal College of Surgeons, Dunfermline Abbey, Innis and Gunn brewery, Edinburgh’s Lord Provost, and Scottish colourist Samuel Peploe’s daughter-in-law. Tom’s work is also known for its natural curves and forms, and some of the drawings that inspired these works will be on display, executed on paper which he produced from his wood-shavings.
