Aberdeen’s Gallery Heinzel is hosting a new exhibition of work by three artists, working in different media – acrylic, oil and glass – showcasing their interpretations of the world around them.
Aberdeen-based Ian Bashford uses his distinctive palette to record local landmarks and the fleeting effects of transient light. Best known for her vibrant still life compositions, for this exhibition Fiona Sturrock turns her eye to the Scottish landscape to capture the movement and character of birds and wildlife with her bold application of colour. Glass artist Elin Isaksson (whose work is pictured above) continues to develop her range of forms and shapes in colour combinations inspired by the Scottish landscape.
The Gallery supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing artworks more affordable through payment by instalments, and artworks are available for sale via the Gallery’s website; they can arrange national and international delivery.
