The Scottish Portrait Awards 2024 – Scotland’s biggest awards for portraiture – return to the Scottish Arts Club in Edinburgh with the Awards’ biggest and most ambitious exhibition yet, bringing together 80 portraits including across fine art and photography as well as over 50 photo images selected for the first Scotland Now! Phone Portrait Award. The Fine Art winners were revealed on Thursday 5th September, and the Photography winners on Friday 6th.

Open to anyone over 16 years, born, living or studying in Scotland, regardless of experience, the Scottish Portrait Awards has quickly established itself as a barometer of contemporary Scottish art practice, giving visibility to a mix of well-established artists as well as newcomers, across a diversity of styles.

The Scottish Portrait Awards 2024 exhibition runs at the historic William Adam-designed Duff House in Banff from 4th Oct – 31st January 2025, then to the Charles Rennie Macintosh Gallery at the Glasgow Art Club, 8th – 27th Feb 2025. A review of the exhibition can be found on this website.
