Weekend Gallery Opens in Kilbirnie for the Weekend

Based in what is thought to be a former 19th century carding mill, the Weekend Gallery in Kilbirnie will present a series of monthly solo shows focusing primarily on first-time exhibitors working in the West of Scotland. Historical footnote: the building is notorious for a 1904 murder, when the owner of what was then an Italian ice cream shop killed his wife and children with an axe. As the name suggests, the gallery is only open at weekends.
