Burnside gallery & frames is to open in the Borders town of Selkirk at the end of April 2021; its first exhibition will be Walks in the Borders, featuring watercolours and oils of local walks by John Onslow and Charly Murray. The gallery will mount a programme of exhibitions of local and national artists from watercolours to prints and oils, as well as providing some good quality art materials and a framing service.

The gallery’s owners Charly and Javier say, ‘Our focus will be on interesting art, graphics and handmade objects, as well as providing top-quality frames of all kinds’. Charly Murray is a painter and graphic designer originally from Gattonside and Javier Ternero is a framer and photographer, from Seville, Spain. Having planned a gallery and framing service for many years, they count themselves lucky to have found their perfect space in Selkirk.
