Glasgow International, Scotland’s contemporary art biennale, returns for its tenth edition with some 45 exhibitions featuring over 70 artists. Highlights include: the largest exhibition to date by 2024 Turner Prize nominee Delaine Le Bas (whose work is pictured) at the Tramway, featuring intertwining objects, installations, textiles and costumes reflecting her exploration of the mythologisation and demonisation of Romani, gypsy and traveller peoples in the UK and Europe; a collaboration between students from Dresden University of Fine Arts and Glasgow School of Art, led by Turner Prize-winning artist Susan Philipsz, towards a series of sound works broadcast to a radio in a parked car in Glasgow city centre; and the UK premieres of performance works by Turner-prize winning artist Lawrence Abu Hamdan centring on acoustic experience and sonic memory.
