Artists and craftmakers throughout Ayrshire and – for the first time – the Isle of Arran open their studio doors for the twelfth year of this popular event to give visitors a glimpse into their secret worlds, where their creations are dreamt and made, from sculpture, painting, litho-printing and ceramics to jewellery, textiles and digital art. Venues range from a garden shed, a garage or the spare room in an artist’s home to professional studios, while other artists and makers opt to give you the ‘studio’ experience in external venues such as Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, The Cabin in Troon, the McCandlish Hall in Straiton and the Grain Exchange in Ayr.
