Over 120 painters, potters, glassmakers, jewellery designers, textile artists, illustrators, woodworkers, printmakers and photographers are preparing to open their workplaces to the public throughout one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas, giving visitors a chance to talk to them about their inspirations and processes, watch them at work – and, of course, take home a unique gift.

A Festival Showcase in the Barn Gallery at The Bield, Blackruthven features a selection of artists and makers, including this year’s “emerging artist” Cathy Wagstaff, whose latest work depicts the gentle Scottish springtime. If you miss the festival there is now a year-round Perthshire Creative Trail with a searchable website showing artists and galleries to visit.
