Over 350 artists and craftmakers across northeast Scotland are getting ready to open their studios and workshops so that visitors can learn about their inspirations and processes, watch them at work and, of course, buy a unique gift which may become a family heirloom.
Covering an area from Montrose to Forres, North-East Open Studios (NEOS) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with 55 new members, suggesting that the creative spirit in this part of Scotland is as strong as ever. This year NEOS is also collaborating with North East Scotland College, which will be showcasing new and developing talent from their HND creative courses at both their Aberdeen and Fraserburgh campuses.
You can download the North East Open Studios app from Google and Apple playstores or look out for the distinctive yellow catalogue in outlets throughout the area.
