The annual Art Walk Porty festival will take place in Portobello, a short way from Edinburgh, kicking-off a new six-month programme and inviting audiences to rethink our relationship with food and ‘edible landscapes’ in the way we farm our land and regenerate nature.

It begins with Thrift: Climate Conversations, a series of public engagements and participatory art-focused events on Portobello Beach. The festival also features an Art Houses and an Art in Shops programme featuring over 60 artists in 44 venues arranged around four walking routes.

Ursula Bevan Hunter, 'Mangersta beach' (Venue 36, 'Art in Shops'). Ursula’s paintings are concerned with the effects of pollution on coastal ecosystems and inspired by rock formations which record the damage and trauma of each period.
