The Torrance Gallery in Edinburgh is hosting a series of nocturnal paintings by Rebecca Patterson. Rebecca’s latest body of work reflects her long-standing fascination with dusk and night, and the light and colours they either bring or obscure, and the attendant elevation of human emotions such as peace, loneliness, relief or dread. She has tried to capture different ways of presenting these experiences in these works.

The Gallery is holding a private view event on Saturday 18th January, 12 – 2pm, when there will the chance to meet Rebecca and enjoy the work.

The Gallery supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing artworks more affordable through payment by instalments.
